Welcome to 6th Grade!!!
My name is Lisa Hall and I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade math this year at East Wake Middle School! I have been in education for almost 13 years now. I spent the first 5 years teaching in a military school in a special education classroom, 2 years as a teacher assistant in a Wake County school for developmentally delayed preschoolers, 1 year teaching in Swain County for the Cherokee Native Americans, and 3 years teaching 5th grade at Wilburn Elementary School. This will be my second year teaching 6th grade math at East Wake Middle and I am looking forward to another successful year!
I encourage and welcome parents to take apart in their child's education. To learn how to volunteer or come and visit our classroom, please contact me for more information.
Parents and students should be prepared to have about an 20 - 30 minutes of homework in math nightly. Sometimes students will bring home additional homework if it is not completed in class. Having homework allows reinforcement of the skills we are learning that day. If at any point you feel that your child is struggling with any of the homework, please let me know. I will provide additional support or guidance to help.
Sincerely,
Ms. Hall
